Jessica Nilles - Assistant Trainer
As a rider Jessica has schooled through the Grand Prix and competed through Intermediare I. Her most notable achievements are: USDF Reserve Champion Intermediate I at Nationals 2016, and USDF Grand Champion Intermediare I at Region 2 Championships 2017 (decided not to compete at Nationals). Jessica has worked with a variety of training horses ranging from; a young horse's very first ride to teaching flying changes. Additionally, she is schooling her horse Wish in the Grand Prix movements with hopes of competing him at Intermediate II and eventually Grand Prix in the future.
Jessica is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy, with a Degree from Marquette University. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Jessica's riding knowledge offers the unique ability to assist riders in diagnosing position weakness and crookedness issues by doing a strength analysis on the ground.
Jessica's list of talents and skills are endless. She is a valuable asset to our team and we are beyond thankful to have her as most importantly she is a kind, positive, encouraging person. She will be assisting Patti with her training horses and overseeing the training at Fireside over the winter months. She is also available for Rider Position Analysis. CAROLE ALLGAUER- Owner
Carole has ridden horses her entire life and began her dressage training in 1985. She was at Tempel Farms for 10 years where she studied under George Williams. In 1997 she started working with Patti and instantly appreciated her talent and strong character. The two became best friends which eventually led to their partnership at Fireside Farm. Carole's inspiration for creating Fireside was to become one of the midwest's premier facilities with top quality care, service, and training. She is a committed and active farm owner. Known around the barn for her positive attitude and is known for her leadership and committment to excellence. She possesses a geniune level of care and concern for both horse and rider, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
As a rider Carole has earned her Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals and has won many regional championships at Third and Fourth levels, PSG, and I1. After accomplishing her Gold Medal she has started another chapter in her riding career in owning a young horse and developing him up the levels with the help of Patti.
PATRICIA BECKER- Head Trainer
Patricia Becker has been riding Dressage for over 25 years. She is a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold medalist having competed at the Grand Prix level for over 15 years. Additionally, she has coached several students up the show ring levels to Grand Prix with scores close to 70%. As a top-class contender she has become sought after by professionals in the Dressage and Eventing community along with serious adult amateurs. Having shown forty-five plus horses ranging from Training level to Grand Prix she has proven her training method repeatedly. This has earned her great respect throughout her region and the United States as a top competitor. She always strives for excellence which has proven her much success in CDI's (international competitions). Most recently, In 2017 she rode Anne Ramsay's Freedom in the Developing Horse Grand Prix winning Reserve Champion of the prestigious competition. Another promising up and coming horse is Derek, who received Reserve Champion of the USDF Regional Championships in the Prix St. George. In 2014 Patti rode Joan Pecora’s Edward to Reserve Champion in the Markel Five Year old National championships. The pair also won the USDF National Training level Championship and were Reserve Champion at First Level. (Click below picture for more detailed achievements.)
Over the years, Patti has trained closely with George Williams, Scott Hassler, Mette Rosencrantz, and Jan Brons who she still works with today. She currently works and trains out of Fireside Farm. In the winter months she travels to Florida to train with Jan and compete. Patti feels strongly about always working towards being a better rider.
